Michael Jackson - Moving On Up Or Moving Out?

The following is from UPI NewsTrack - Entertainment :
Report: Jackson moving out of Vegas home
LAS VEGAS, June 26 (UPI) -- Pop singer Michael Jackson has confirmed he is moving out of the house he rents in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday.
Jackson spokesman Ramone Bain has said Jackson and his three kids will be moving out of a 10-bedroom mansion in the Vegas suburbs by the end of the month when his $1 million lease is up.
The family moved there from Ireland last winter.
"He loved the house but decided to allow the lease to expire because of concerns that security wasn't sufficient," Bain said, adding he didn't know if Jackson planned to leave Sin City altogether or simply find a better-fortified compound.
A source told the Review-Journal Jackson was unable to get financing on the house and wanted to extend his lease, but the San Francisco owner had interests in the area and wanted to use the house on his many business trips.
Update from UPI article.
Jacko moves into lavish Vegas compound
LAS VEGAS, July 3 (UPI) -- U.S. music icon Michael Jackson has moved into a $60 million compound owned by Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei in a gated community in Las Vegas.
Jackson moved into the 100,000-square-foot property during the weekend after his six-month lease expired on a $1 million home elsewhere in the city, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday.
Someone who saw Jackson's vacated house said the singer left the 10-bedroom home a mess, telling the Review-Journal it appeared the home hadn't been cleaned in months.
Jackson left a suite at The Mirage hotel-casino in a similar condition after a lengthy stay there several years ago.
The 53-year-old Prince Jefri, one of Jackson's longtime friends, built his Spanish Trail compound in the 1990s, when he was known as a high-roller playboy with lavish tastes.
The prince fled Las Vegas when his brother filed embezzlement charges against him to curb his spending. Prince Jefri reportedly is living in exile in London.
Spanish Trail has been home for celebrities since it opened, with Andre Agassi, Greg Maddux, Siegfried Fischbacher, David Copperfield, and Randall Cunningham among the residents.

Michael Jackson On Sale In Vegas

I could not invent this stuff, let alone write anything meaningful without wondering if Never Land has come to the Neon City Of Dreams, resulting in a kind of penultimate unreality.
From the Guernsey's auction site:
From modest Indiana beginnings, they leaped onto the world's stage and music has never been the same. Annoucing one of the most exciting auctions in Pop Culture history...The Jacksons Auction. For the first time, thousands of items from Michael, Janet, La Toya, Jermaine and the rest of the Jackson Family will be sold at a remarkable auction being held live at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel. Michael Jackson Las Vegas Saga Continues
Found this exclusive breaking news article from PopRevenge:
JACKSON LANDS IN VEGAS TO LAUNCH COMEBACK
From the article:
"Pop Revenge broke the world exclusive story that Jackson has been planning a 'Magic and Music Spectacular' with David Blaine. We can now confirm the event will take place in Las Vegas and famous deal maker Jack Wishna has been instrumental in securing the deal.
...
Industry experts estimate the final figure for a Jackson and Blaine showpiece deal could top $530 million."
Negotiations are apparently continuing on a contract, and if successful, Michael may yet recover his image (only in Vegas could this happen!) and may be well on his way to a spectacular comeback here. Only time will tell. What a combination, David's magic and Michael's mojo!

Michael Jackson New Las Vegas Home

From US Weekly exclusive.
I don't think he's my neighbor, yet. It is a nice place, but definitely a notch down from The Neverland Ranch. Michael always said he liked it here. He probably has many childhood memories of Vegas, and he has family living here.
Not on the street where I live...

Above from "Billy Jean" video staged street setting.
Michael may be here long term with a new contract. Interesting perspective from Vegas Tripping.

Michael Jackson Las Vegas Comeback?

Forget about Santa Clause sightings tonight. According to Vegas Pop BlogMichael Jackson may be coming to town.
What other place is there than Las Vegas to get a fresh start? I'm sure there is a place for him here, God knows Vegas has enough stories about old acts renewed. Michael Jackson, we must not forget, was once the top act in pop rock 'n roll.Hide the children. No, I'm sorry, that was a nasty cheap shot, I take it all back. But seriously, good luck, Michael, I hope you can restart your career and get over all the negative publicity, here in sin city. I know your personal yellow brick journey to see the Wizard of Oz is going to be easier if Las Vegas dealmaker Jack Wishna, performer Prince, and Casino moguls Steve Wynn and George Maloof are potential backers (according to The Article ) --- then maybe your chances are better than even.
